Ubud is the spiritual centre of Bali! There are multitudes of temples, shrines and colourful ceremonies, throughout the year. During this evening (in March) to the accompaniment of traditional Gamelan music, each district parades gigantic papier-mâché figures through the street. These works of art represent the demons that are banished from Bali during the festivities!
